Peace After Spring's Morn Rain

By Larue Donahue

After spring's rain the earth is peaceful and tranquil.
The thirst of the meadows the rain did fulfill.
Song birds sing their hearts content.
Weeping willows lament.
Fields overflow with yellow buttercups.
From nature's ponds the feathered fowls sup.
Retaining water from spring's cup.
Wild geese quench the breeze in distances furlongs
of the prairie.
Seeking God in unknown territories.  Black birds cling to vines
in search of God's hidden glory.  Indian Paint Brush
reveals untold srories.  Red cardinals dine from elegant vines.
Nature architects leaf and design.
Love outpours from the endless sky.
Wisdom honors the Faithful, True and Wise.
