We often speak of many things,
of friends, and pets, and songs to sing.
But what all too often goes unsaid,
yet swirls around inside our heads,
are words of gratitude and praise
for all the hours and all the days
which you've devoted as a friend
to seeing that our worries end
and things run smoothly on and on
while down the road we're here and gone.
