You smile and I know you. We've never met
and I have only the memory of one ill-posed,
oft-viewed photograph to guide me, but I know...
You are the one!
I walk hesitantly into your arms to feel the
warmth and welcome I've known in countless
dreams and longed for in every waking hour.
You are the one!
We talk of this and that, of things we know
and feel and yet our minds are elsewhere
and we know it. Your eyes are telling me
you are the one!
We touch. Your hands are soft and warm and
move discretely. You bend closer and my lips
find the smoothness of your cheek. They know
you are the one!
