Without You Lord

Without you Lord, Love would not exist.
Without you Lord, we could not resist
the call to sin and turn away from you.
Without you Lord, Hope is lost to all.
Without you Lord, upon our knees we’d fall,
bereft and empty, not knowing what to do.
Without you Lord, Faith would fail to grow.
Without you Lord, no one would ever know
the way to life eternal through your son.
Without you Lord, Forgiveness would be lost.
Without you Lord, our guilt would keep us tossed
upon a sea of raging doubt and fear, undone.
Without you Lord is where I need not be
for you are always there to call upon
no matter what my need or how I feel.
With you Lord I find the greatest peace
for we can walk and talk together
as you set my heart afire with love and zeal.
With you Lord, the dawn of each new day
is a joyous feast of hope and celebration
as you light the sky with rays of golden sun.
With you Lord, I need not worry for today
or wonder how to cope with stress or troubles
far too great for me to face when day is done.
With you Lord, there will always be a way
and someone there to listen when I call
out from my heart and pray for healing.
With you Lord, I will recognize the need
for me to share the Love you give
and find the time to come before you kneeling.
