Butterfly

Pretty, flitty butterfly
I see you as you flutter by
Floating gently far and nigh.
Your beauty lights the summer sky
And echos God's unuttered sigh.
Silver Sails

Silver sails dot the sea... Where now the morning mist?
Golden beaches beckon me to where the shore is kissed
by waves of aqua blue, still edged with sea foam white,
and sunlight streams in brilliant hue from morn 'til moonlit night.
Spring

Spring has come early this year.
I can feel her warm breath and see her new clothes
and welcome her gladly wherever she goes!

Spring has come early this year.
The birds have returned, some gathering their nests...
and my soul  has gone winging along with the rest!
Breath of Spring

Has anyone seen the breath of spring
that I saw just this morning?  With wondrous care its life-breath brings to each new bud that's forming
the spark of life to give it strength and prod it into growing... to send forth its roots to search at length
for precious water flowing through the earth, now free from winter's grip, released at last and running.
Down the hills and from the trees it drips to feed the buds a-sunning, which soon will burst forth in brilliant hue as if without a warning.  Has anyone seen the breath of spring that I saw just this morning?
On the Fence

Two little girls sittin' on a fence
One had a quarter, one had a pence...
One was loving, the other was kind.
Together their friendship would bring peace of mind.
There's someone to lean on who knows how you feel,
someone who won't ever make a big deal
of your problems, your worries, your day to day cares,
just someone who loves you and always is there!
Reality

                    R eality is but the
                         O pening of the rosebud...
S eeing clearly now what was
                         E re idden from view.
