If Memory Fades

My how the years fly by!  Can it be so long since I've
heard your sigh or felt your hand in mind?  Slowly each day creeps into the speeding years and now I no longer count the falling tears which mark the time.  Yesterday is but a dream, which now, somehow, does not reflect the way it seemed when we were one.  When starlit nights and sunny days... or was it raining then with misty haze...It matters not.  For as the days and years roll by, whether our hearts sing or our hearts cry, what was remains.
Thus, if memory fades, our love yet will be untouched, it's sweetness sealed and within our hearts contained.
